For the true tea connoisseur, Aiya’s premium Matcha provides a level of quality typically reserved for high-class Japanese tea ceremonies. Now endorsed by the Tea Master of the prestigious Urasenke Tea School in Japan, this grade is usually reserved for special occasions. Aiya has a network of more than 200 farmers, yet only a few achieve this premium quality tea — containing the highest amount of L-Theanine (amino acids) in Aiya’s Matcha product line.
Our Premium Grade Matcha has a robust Matcha flavor packed with tons of natural sweetness (Umami flavor) derived from the amino acid L-theanine. Ideal to be served as Koi-cha (thick style Matcha), this grade can also be enjoyed as Usu-cha (thin style Matcha).
All of our Matcha is grown and produced in Nishio city in Aichi prefecture. Nishio has been known the world over as the cradle of the finest Matcha for more than 800 years.
Each 30g (1.1 oz) tin is good for approximately 15 servings.
